About the Organizer

The College of Business Administration (CoBA) at the University of Sharjah was founded in 1997. CoBA is a place with endless opportunities, it offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs. The College offers undergraduate degrees in all functions of business with majors and minors in Management, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Economics, and Finance. The CoBA also offers rewarding and stimulating graduates' programs including Master of Business Administration (MBA), Executive Master in Business Administration (EMBA), Master of Science in Business Analytics (BAM) and Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA). All CoBA programs are accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) the gold standard in Business education. Moreover, the CoBA BSc. Accounting program is professionally oriented and accredited by all main international accountancy bodies including the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA), the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), and Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) Australia. And the BSc. Finance program is affiliated with CFA Institute, which makes the College of Business Administration labeled as "CFA University Affiliated.

The College of Business Administration is a student-oriented community, the learning process goes beyond the classrooms as our students engage in hands-on business learning opportunities ranging from managing an investment portfolio to preparing business plans. The CoBA is committed to students' lifelong career as a successful industry leader and valued member in the society.

  • Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Ali bin Rashid Al Nuaimi
    Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Ali bin Rashid Al Nuaimi Member of the Royal Family of Ajman in the United Arab Emirates and Environmental Advisor to the Government of Ajman

    Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Ali bin Rashid Al Nuaimi is a member of the Royal Family of Ajman in the United Arab Emirates, as well as an Environmental Advisor to the Government of Ajman. He has dedicated his life to creating a more sustainable and equitable future for all. With his tireless work in the field of environmental advocacy, he has earned the title of "Green Sheikh," and has become a leading figure in the global sustainability movement. He is a visionary and a powerful force for good in the world, as evidenced by his many accomplishments. He is the founder of the Green Sheikh Academy, which is dedicated to empowering leaders and future generations to create positive change and make a real impact on the world. As an Inspirational Trainer in Authentic Transformational Leadership and Holistic Living, he is helping to shape a new generation of responsible, conscious leaders who are committed to building a better future for all.

    In addition to his official roles, Sheikh Abdul Aziz has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of environmental and sustainability studies. He obtained a PhD in Ecosystems and Cleaner Production from Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia, as well as a Master's Degree in Environment Management and Science and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical-Petroleum Engineering. He also graduated from the Royal Military Academy of "Sandhurst," obtaining many certificates of Diplomas in Environmental and Leadership Studies along the way. Sheikh Al Nuaimi is recognized as an International Ambassador of Social Responsibility and the Second Arab Ambassador for the Earth Condominium. He has won many awards and accolades for his work, including an Order of Merit - First Class from the President of Sudan on Social Responsibility, and the Mother Teresa International Prize for Social Justice in 2022. In this year 2023, he was selected as one of the 100 “Champions of Sustainability” in the Arab world.

    He is also active in the community, both locally and globally. He has presented many volunteering, public and institutional training workshops, and has founded many community, environmental, local and global initiatives. He has participated in many global organizations concerned with the environment, and has even ventured to The South Pole "Antarctica" as a member of the 2041 Leadership Team to familiarize himself with factors of climate change and its effect on Earth. Sheikh Abdul Aziz is an inspiring trainer, coach, and mentor in Leadership and Change Programs, having presented many radio programs and authored several books on environmentalism, altruism, and personal development. His recent co-authorship with Luke Coutinho on the book "The Dry Fasting Miracle" is also noteworthy.

    With his passion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the environment, Sheikh Abdul Aziz is a true visionary and a powerful force for good in the world, inspiring many youth and communities both at the Arab and International Levels, and dedicating his time to sustainable developmental projects to be more sensitive to the environment in the United Arab Emirates and areas around the world.

     

  • Professor Daniel Balsalobre-Lorente
    Professor Daniel Balsalobre-Lorente Editor, Evaluation Review

    Daniel Balsalobre- Lorente is PhD in Economics and Full Professor (Tenure) in the Department of Applied Economics I, at the U​niversity of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain. At the academic and research level, Daniel Balsalobre is an expert in public fınance, energy economics, economic growth and environment, tourism, and innovation and globalization. In recent years I have published more than 100 studies in journals and book chapters of reputed prestige and international scientific impact, including Energy Economics, Energy Policy, Resources Policy, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Journal of Cleaner Production, Sustainability, Environmental Science and Pollution Research, Energies, and Journal of Public Affairs, among others. Prof Balsalobre currently serves as editor-in-chief of Evaluation Review (SAGE) and associate editor at Heliyon (Elsevier) and Environment, Development and Sustainability (Springer). I anı also a guest editor for Renewable Energy (Elsevier), Utilities Policy (Elsevier), Energy Sources Part B (Taylor), Sustainability (MDPI), Energies (MDPI), among others; also being an expert reviewer of more than 300 articles for highly indexed journals and handbooks. As a result of his academic career, he currently accumulates around 11000 citations in google scholar and h-index 45 and has entered the International Ranking elaborated by Stanford University for those top 2% Researchers and 2022 Clarivate Highly cited authors.

  • Professor Gary A. Campbell
    Professor Gary A. Campbell Editor, Resources Policy

    Dr. Gary A. Campbell is a Professor of Natur​al Resource Economics and Adjunct Professor of Geological & Mining Engineering & Sciences At Michigan Technological University. He is the founder and Director of the M.S. program in Applied Natural Resou​​rce Economics in the College of Business. He received a Ph.D. in Mineral Economics from The Pennsylvania State University, a M.S. in Economics from Iowa State University, and a B.S. in Economics from the Missouri University of Science and Technology. He has been an Editor of the journal, Resources Policy, for 12 years. He has academic experience in China, Italy, Ethiopia, Mongolia, South Africa, and Turkey. Metal markets, mineral policy, and mining-community relations are his main areas of research interest with recent publications in The Extractive Industries and Society, Mineral Economics, and Marine Policy.

  • Prof. Scott Valentine
    Prof. Scott Valentine Professor of Entrepreneurship, Circular Economy and Energy Policy at the University of Brunei and Chairperson of Asia Circular

    Prof. Scott Valentine is an internationally recognised expert in the Circular Economy, corporate strategy, and public policy, with over 30 years of global experience. He is a Professor of Entrepreneurship, Circular Economy and Energy Policy at the University of Brunei and Chairperson of Asia Circular. Prof. Valentine has led research projects across Denmark, the Netherlands, Japan, and Australia, advising governments and businesses worldwide. He has developed circular economy strategies for over 60 companies and served as a Director at KPMG Australia, where he helped start CE advisory services. He is author of Corporate Circular Economy Strategy, scheduled for release in 2025 by Cambridge University Press, and four books on energy transitions. He serves on the advisory board of the Australian Circular Economy Hub and is a member of the ISO59000 standard development committee, representing Standards Australia. In Brunei, he created the DARE-sponsored ASEAN-funded white paper on CE potential in Brunei.

  • Dr. Peggy E. Chaudhry
    Dr. Peggy E. Chaudhry Associate Professor of International Business at the Villanova School of Business in Pennsylvania

    Dr. Peggy E. Chaudhry is an Associate Professor of International Business at the Villanova School of Business in Pennsylvania. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin Madison. She is considered an expert in intellectual property related to illicit trade issues, such as counterfeit trade, gray markets and internet piracy. She currently works on the Editorial Board of Business Horizons. She has published in trade publications, such as Advertising Age and The Wall Street Journal. Her academic research has appeared in many journal outlets such as Business Horizons, Journal of World Business, European Management Journal, Journal of International Marketing, and the Virginia Journal of International Law. She has published three books on the topic of illicit trade.

  • Sohail S. Chaudhry
    Sohail S. Chaudhry Professor of operations and supply chain management at the Villanova School of Business, Villanova, PA, USA

    Sohail S. Chaudhry held teaching positions at Columbia University, Loyola University Chicago, Mosul University, and the University of Wisconsin at La Crosse. He is currently a Professor of Operations and Supply Chain Management at the Villanova School of Business, Villanova, PA, USA. At the professional level, he serves as a member on the Editorial Advisory Boards of several international journals, including as an Associate Editor of the Enterprise Information Systems and the Journal of Industrial Integration and Management.
